Owner
Amici Hair Lounge + Boutique is the next chapter in a story that began with Joseph’s Coiffures, a Hamilton staple built on tradition, community, and artistry. Growing up in the beauty industry, owner Maria Mendolia Mosher combined her business acumen with her passion for the craft, bringing her vision to life in 1995 when she first purchased the salon.
Now, with a refreshed name and a new location in the heart of downtown Hamilton, Amici carries forward the same principles that defined us from the beginning—exceptional service, advanced education, and a deep commitment to our community—while offering an elevated guest experience.
Our philosophy has always been rooted in education and inspiration. By continually training and travelling internationally, our team hones its skills to bring back the latest techniques, artistry, and fashion trends to our guests.

Tanya
Tanya began her career with us in 1998. With her extensive knowledge in Davines, she educates not only her clients, but her team. She finishes every look with finesse and has a keen eye for detail. She continues to be up to date with all hair trends, ensuring she can provide quality service and results. She continues her education through Metro Beauty Academy.
Dita
Dita has been a loyal member of our team since the start of her career. As one of our Master Stylists, she proudly holds over 20+ years of experience all the while being a busy mom. Dita can do it all, with a particular passion for updos. There’s always room to learn, so she happily continues her education through Metro Beauty Academy.
Alexis
Alexis has over 11 years of experience and has been a part of our team since the start of her career. She excels in all hair services, specializing in highlights and balayage. Certified in Cezanne Smoothening Treatment and Extension Installations, she can do it all. She continues to educate herself through Metro Beauty Academy.
Shakira
Shakira has over 5 years of experience and has proudly been a part of our team since 2023. She loves a challenge and proves it with the many colour corrections she takes on. Want an edgy cut/ colour? You’re in the right hands! She continues her education through Metro Beauty Academy.
Holly
Holly is new to the team and we welcome her with open arms. With 15+ years of hair experience and a completed Makeup Artist Program, she can have you leaving with a complete makeover. Any special occasion from Weddings to Bodybuilding competitions, she’ll have you ready.
Janelle
Janelle is a recent graduate from Marca College and is currently completing her apprenticeship at Amici. She is ready to excel in everything from gorgeous blowouts to creative cuts and colour. Coming from a background in music and teaching, Janelle loves using her creativity to connect with others.
